Tugboat Logic's New Rewards and Incentive Program!
We are pleased to introduce a brand new program designed to reward you and your organization for being an active participant in your security program!
Building out a security program and getting certified for frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 is a lot of hard work. In addition, many of you have gone the extra mile to complete reviews, provide references, or even work with us on collaborative articles and case studies. We want to acknowledge your efforts and reward your major milestones. Here's how it works.
Each time you complete a task or achieve a milestone, we will award points proportional to the weight of the task. The points will accumulate to help you reach different levels or tiers for rewards. The higher your tier, the more rewards available to you and your organization. Here are some ways you can earn points:
Other ways to earn points could be activities in the Helm including asking questions, sharing information or articles, and larger tasks like sharing a custom integration in our marketplace!

We know that many of you have accomplished a lot of these tasks already, so we will be working to bring you up to the tier you should rightfully be at! In an effort not to flood you with potential notifications, we will be getting you all up to your levels in steps.
We will be recording many of these points within the Helm through the use of badges and the points system built into the platform, however, we know that many tasks are a team effort, and therefore all individual point earnings will contribute to the total organization's tally.
This is a new initiative, so we're very much in the "beta" stage to test it out and see how well it works. As time goes and we get more feedback, we may make updates to the program, which we'll be sure to notify if and when those changes are made.
Our goal is to make a task that might seem daunting and difficult, to be as easy as possible. And hey, if we can make security and compliance fun along the way, that's just the icing on the cake!
NOTE: We acknowledge that due to the pandemic, some options for rewards may be more feasible than others, especially those in terms of shipping and virtual conferencing. In addition, there are restrictions to how incentives can be accepted with some organizations. If you foresee any issues with the above plan, we are happy to work with you to find other ways to reward your efforts!
