US lawmakers back mandatory standards for transport and logistics cybersecurity

Following the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack over the summer, members of congress are calling on owners and operators of critical national infrastructure to increase protection of their IT systems.


European Parliament votes to strengthen EU-wide cybersecurity rules 

Rarely at a parliamentary level has there been such a consensus in wanting to improve the security of European networks, with European lawmakers on the Industry, Research and Energy committee adopting the new rules by 70 votes to 3.


Microsoft Most Imitated Brand for Phishing Attacks: Report

Check Point published its Q3 Brand Phishing Report to bring to light the brands that are most commonly imitated by attackers to conduct phishing campaigns. Microsoft topped the list as 29% of all brand phishing attempts were related to the Redmond-based technology giant.
